How can I submit the request?

Before submitting the DDS request, users should:

• Check the Journal list ; both available in the University Libraries homepage.

If these steps are unsuccessful, log on to the Journal articles request form. If you have specific time constraints, please note them in the appropriate place on the request form.  Please note that we do not take requests on the phone.
• If needed, consult a member of the Reference or Interlibrary Loan staff for assistance in clarifying citations and in locating and identifying indexing and abstracting sources.
• Accurate and complete publication information will enable the Document Delivery staff to process your requests in the shortest possible time.
• All DDS requests must be submitted online through. All fields should be filled in.

What are the materials eligible for requests?
Journal articles, chapters or selections from books (one chapter or 10% of the book), papers from conference proceedings.

What are the materials not eligible for requests?
We do not accept requests for OPAC (our online catalog, or any other material existing in the Library) or Journal Finder.  We do not provide PHOTOCOPY services if articles are available in the Library. In the latter case, we inform the user of the existence and location of the material requested.

How am I notified when material is received?
All articles received electronically by the Library will be sent directly to the requestor’s desktop electronically. This will reduce the turn-around time for the delivery of the articles as well as negate for requesters to come to the Library in person to collect the articles.

DDS will notify you via your e-mail when the article is received, so please check your e-mail regularly. Most articles will be delivered in Portable Document Format (PDF). To view the article, please install Adobe Acrobat software in your PC’s hard disk.
For articles received by standard mail and by fax, the article will be sent to the Department by internal courier.
