In accordance with the Qatari laws regarding persons with special needs and the academic policies of Qatar University, the University welcomes special needs students in all educational programs. We urge students with physical impairments, visual impairments, hearing impairments, learning disabilities, speech difficulties, psychological disorders, brain and nerve injuries, attention-deficit / hyperactivity disorder, autism, chronic disesases, and temporary injuries, to discuss the appropriate academic accommodations with the Inclusion and Special Needs Support Center. The University is committed to maintaining strict confidentiality with respect to the records of students with special needs. The academic accommodations will not affect, in any way, the academic standards at the University and will not lead to any diminution or discrimination in University certificate granted to students with special needs.

Our Services During COVID-19

Out of our concern for the health and safety of our students and employees, and taking precautionary measures to combat the outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), the Inclusion and Support Center continues to provide remote services to our students, taking into account the following:

  • Students can communicate with all the Inclusion and special needs Support Center's staff remotely until the start of the fourth phase of lifting the restrictions imposed without the need to personally come to the campus.

  • New students can register for the center’s services remotely by contacting the special needs specialist via telephone, submitting medical reports via e-mail and filling out a registration application by phone.
